A 56 year old female presents with a 4 day history of dizziness.  She describes the sensation as spinning.  The spinning has occurred at night when she's in bed, although yesterday she experienced it while she was making dinner. The spinning only lasts a half minute or so but is quite distressing to the patient.  It resolves soon after she sits up out of bed.  She denies any nausea or vomiting with the dizziness.  She also denies any headaches, vision or hearing changes.
